What this site is for

This is a patient decision guide to filler treatment of the cheek, published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It narrows the filler pages of this cluster rather than repeating them: what filler is, whether to have it and how the substance classes differ are answered there. What this site adds is the part that is specific to the midface — telling lost volume from descent, deciding how much is enough, and recognising the problems an injection cannot reach.

The distinction the site is built on

A cheek that has lost volume and a cheek whose tissue has descended look similar and are treated in opposite ways. Restoring volume to a flattened cheek changes how the face reads. Adding volume to a descended cheek makes it heavier, and doing so repeatedly raises a baseline that nobody chose. Everything here turns on that distinction, which is why the assessment is described before the treatment in almost every guide.

What it deliberately does not do

It does not name products or brands, quote prices or dosages, or promise a result. It does not present the treatment as a lift, and it does not treat a temporary result as a permanent one. It does not describe the substance classes, because that is the parent site’s work rather than this one’s, and it does not present any operation as a failure of the injection, because where an operation is the honest answer that is what the assessment will say.

How the content is reviewed and corrected

Ke He, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics, is the responsible physician. Every guide is reviewed against her clinical judgement before publication and reviewed again on a twelve-month cycle. If you find something unclear, out of date or wrong, the contact page explains how to tell us, and corrections are made to the page itself.
